Aims and objectives

  • Understand and apply maintenance methodologies, processes and procedures
  • Understand the use of network maintenance tools, applications and resources
  • Understand and implement troubleshooting principles, approaches and processes
  • Implement commands to selectively gather information in support of basic diagnostic processes
  • Identify tools commonly used for specific maintenance and troubleshooting processes and preparing the infrastructure for their use
  • Troubleshoot VLANs, Spanning Tree, Switched Virtual Interfaces, Inter-VLAN Routing, and First-Hop Redundancy Protocols
  • Troubleshoot network layer connectivity, EIGRP, OSPF, route redistribution, and BGP
  • Identify common IPv4 Addressing service Issues, and common IPv6 routing issues
  • Troubleshoot network applications services, performance issues on routers and switches
  • Troubleshoot converged networks to Support Wireless, Unified Communications, and Video
  • Troubleshoot challenges in secure networks, Management, Control, and Data Plane security, Branch Office and remote worker connectivity
