Aims and objectives

The aim of this unit of study is to provide the skills and knowledge required to effectively manage a project and the project team.

After successfully completing this unit, you should be able to:
  • Identify the major elements of a project
  • Implement and use project management software
  • Understand the principles of successful leadership
  • Understand and apply the principles of effective team leadership and participation
  • Implement the procedures and principles required to manage successful meetings

Teaching methods

This unit will be taught in a variety of modes including face to face, online and blended modes. Delivery of this unit may be through a mixture of tutorials, laboratories and online.
