Aims and objectives
This unit aims to develop and employ photographic skills for recording and presenting outcomes in various fields of professional design practice. This unit will build on and extend basic photographic knowledge and introduce the principles of studio lighting. Students will have the opportunity to develop their digital photographic practice and output.After successfully completing this unit, you should be able to:
1. Use camera controls creatively to resolve design assignments
2. Analyse light effectively to create different moods
3. Compare lighting for 2 or 3 dimensional objects using studio set ups
4. Apply photographic technique to professional presentations in their design discipline
5. Employ digital photographic images and techniques for further professional application
6. Determine art direction skills to resolve design problems
