Aims and objectives
At the conclusion of this unit students will be able to:
- Gain and insight into how futures work produces both opportunities and challenges for organisational strategy
- Understand the interests of internal stakeholders
- Become knowledgeable about Corporate Social Responsibility programs in organisations
- Analyse the interests of external stakeholders
- Apply a Delphi process to generate ‘expert’ futures data
- Develop and apply an environmental scanning framework to an organisational context

- The tools, techniques and approaches that constitute environmental scanning
- The design and implementation of Delphi (expert) future processes
- The history and theory of Corporate Social Responsibility programs in organisations
- How organisations can build future focussed cultures through the use of Mission, Vision and Values statements
