Aims and objectives
At the conclusion of this unit students will be able to:
- Identify the stages of organisation growth and the issues to be managed at each stage, and apply these as diagnostic frameworks
- Understand and explain the leadership challenges that organisational growth presents
- Understand and explain how organisational culture forms and how it influences an organisation’s capacity to act
- Understand the benefits and risks of growth and recommend growth strategies for a given organisation
- Use the theoretical models of organisation growth to identify issues and appropriate actions in unfamiliar situations with imperfect information
- Work as a team to develop a project brief and complete the project according to that brief
