Aims and objectives

At the completion of this unit students should be able to:
  • Understand the measurement, causes and costs of macroeconomic conditions
  • Analyse the meaning and implications of Balance of Payments outcomes
  • Explain the objectives, and workings of economic policies
  • Evaluate conditions within an economy and the appropriateness of policies
  • Draw and interpret graphs showing conditions in macroeconomic markets
  • Recognise and interpret the meaning of key macroeconomic data
