Aims and objectives

At the conclusion of this unit students will be able to:
  • Show an appreciation of Italian social and cultural issues and contribute positively to class discussions
  • Recognise and improve grammar usage and competence
  • Analyse Italian texts and styles (intermediate level)
  • Examine and solve applied language exercises
  • Demonstrate an ability to think cross-culturally and in a multidisciplinary fashion
  • Apply acquired reading, writing, listening and speaking skills in Italian (intermediate level)

Teaching methods

Grammar classes (2 hours), Language Extension Classes (2 hours), Conversation Classes (1 hour); Language of delivery: Italian with English explanations as necessary

Assessment

Assignment (individual) (25%), Test (30%), Examination (40%), Class Contribution (5%)
