Aims and objectives
At the completion of this unit of study students should:
- Be informed and knowledgeable in the area

Teaching methods
Preparatory lectures and satisfactory participation in briefings, research and presentations during the tour.Assessment
Pre-departure research and preparation (Individual) 30%
On-tour test (Individual) 20%
Project ( 5,000 word) on a theme relevant to Asia and the Study Tour (Individual) 50%*
*This includes a class environment presentation of the project in PowerPoint format (that will incorporate a question and answer sectionon) on return to Australia. The written project will have a value of 30% while the class presentation will equal 20%.
On-tour test (Individual) 20%

Content
- Prior to the tour, there are preparatory tutorials providing the opportunity for students to research key areas of interest so they can achieve maximum benefit from the tour program
- Students are required to prepare carefully for the meetings and briefings so they can actively participate in each appointment
- There are briefings from a range of business associations, chambers and major corporations involved in Australian business within the region for students to attend
- There are visits to Austrade and the Australian embassies (or their equivalents) in Tokyo, Beijing and Shanghai
