Aims and objectives
To expose students to techniques and methodology in embedded system design. Students will develop hands-on experience in design, simulation, verification and implementation using industry standard EDA tools.Generic skills outcomes

- Embedded system design cycle and system modelling
- Embedded system hardware and software
- Real-time embedded system
- Embedded system specification and verification
- Hardware/software co-design, partitioning and tradeoffs
- Embedded development tools
- Analysis and design methods using graphical notations eg. UML, implementation considerations, testing strategies and construction of test cases, software engineering environments and CASE tools.
