Facilities

At Swinburne we offer a range of facilities that are designed to support you and make your life easier.

All of our campuses provide up-to-date technology in a contemporary environment, helping you to get the most out of your learning experience.

 


Wireless Networking

Wireless network access at Swinburne means that students can simply turn on their laptops anytime, anywhere within a coverage area, and have access to the university network.

This means that you are able to access email, internet and library resources – all without having to plug-in! Students are able to access the wireless network either by configuring their personal laptops or borrowing laptops from the library.

Wireless network coverage is available across the whole Hawthorn campus, and selected locations at Croydon, Lilydale, Prahran and Wantirna.


Modern Campuses

All of Swinburne’s campuses have undergone major refurbishments over the past year. These include the development of new buildings, redecoration of existing buildings and landscaping to create a better environment for our students

Swinburne has extensive plans to continue these campus developments in the coming years to ensure that our students benefit from modern and environmentally sensitive facilities equipped with up-to-date technology.


Libraries

As a Swinburne student you will have access to a comprehensive collection of resource material that can be accessed from any of our libraries located at the Croydon, Hawthorn, Lilydale, Prahran and Wantirna campuses.


Computer Labs

Swinburne offers a number of PC labs to assist students complete their assessments.

At Hawthorn campus the Library provides a Late Lab which offers 24 hour, 7 day access.


Campus Locations

Each of Swinburne’s campuses are well serviced by public transport, with many being on or near train lines. The inner suburban campuses boast nearby tram access, while buses make commuting to the outer eastern campuses even easier.

Each campus is also located close to a range of retail shops, cafes and restaurants , giving you the chance to socialise or undertake your group work in a less formal setting.
