Swinburne is the highest-rated university in Victoria for graduate satisfaction and the highest-rated university in Melbourne for teaching quality and generic skills according to The Good Universities Guide 2012.
We have now been recognised as the highest-rated university in Melbourne for teaching quality for the last six years.
Swinburne was also recognised for employment outcomes, receiving a four-star rating for getting a full time job.
The Good Universities Guide is Australia's only comprehensive degree and university ratings guide, releasing an annual publication rating universities in a number of important categories.

International rankings
Swinburne University of Technology has been named amongst the top research-intensive universities in the world according to a number of prestigious world academic ranking lists.
In 2011, Swinburne consolidated its place for a third year in a row in the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) - formerly known as the Shanghai Jiao Tong Rankings. The ARWU also named Swinburne as one of the top 100 research universities in the world in the field of physics.
Swinburne has also been named in the top 400 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2011-2012 and top 450 by the QS World University Rankings 2011, which also awarded Swinburne 5-star ratings for graduate employability, infrastructure and internationalisation.
Skills for Sustainability
Swinburne TAFE won the ‘Skills for Sustainability’ category at the 2010 Victorian Training Awards.
The award puts Swinburne in the forefront for sustainable educational practices and commitment to transforming the way people live, work and learn.
