The Good Universities Guide rankings
Swinburne is the best university in Melbourne for teaching quality, generic skills and graduate satisfaction, according to The Good Universities Guide 2010.
The Good Universities Guide is Australia's only comprehensive degree and university ratings guide, releasing an annual publication rating universities in a number of important categories.
Swinburne has now been ranked the best teaching university in Melbourne for the last four years.
The university's strong pathways program was also recognised, with the guide awarding Swinburne five stars for the category 'Proportion of students given credit for TAFE studies'.

Australian Training Awards
Swinburne TAFE has been recognised as the best in the country, winning the Large Training Provider of the Year honour at the Australian Training Awards.
It's the first time Swinburne has entered in the category and follows on from our sweep of the Victorian Training Awards where we won the Large Training Provider of the Year, Training Initiative of the Year and Victorian Trainee of the Year.
Swinburne TAFE has almost 40,000 students enrolled in accredited VET and short courses at its Croydon, Hawthorn, Lilydale, Prahran and Wantirna campuses.
World university rankings
In 2009, Swinburne was for the first time named amongst the top universities in the world in both the prestigious Shanghai Jiao Tong University Academic Rankings and Times Higher Education QS World University Rankings.
