Swinburne University of Technology has been named amongst the top 500 universities in the world according to a number of prestigious world academic ranking lists.
This year, Swinburne retained its place in the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Academic Rankings after entering the prestigious list of the top 500 in the world for the first time in 2009.
Swinburne was the first dual-sector university in Australia to be ranked in the Shanghai Jiao Tong rankings.
Swinburne has also been named in the top 500 by the new QS World University Rankings 2010.
In 2008 and 2009, Swinburne earned its place in the Times Higher Education QS World University Rankings.
