Security and Counter Terrorism Major

Description
The major examines issues of security, terrorism and counter-terrorism in the context of the process of peaceful resolution of world conflict.
(This major was formerly known as Peace and Diplomacy Studies.)
Units
Security and Counter Terrorism Major (from Semester 2 2013)
To complete a Security and Counter Terrorism major, students must complete 100 credit points (usually 8 x 12.5 credit point units) from the approved list of Security and Counter Terrorism units, including the capstone unit.
Students must complete a minimum of 50 credit points of advanced level units. All Security and Counter Terrorism units are advanced level (2nd or 3rd year) units unless identified with a "#".

Students who wish to graduate with a tagged Security and Counter Terrorism major (150 credit points), must complete an additional 50 credit points(usually 4 x12.5 credit point units) from the list of Security and Counter Terrorism elective units. Students may choose to undertake one (1) optional international study tour as part of their Security and Counter Terrorism major
