Media Major
Major at Hawthorn
Structure
To be eligible for a Media major, students must complete 100 credit points (8 units) from the approved list of Media units, comprising:
- at least one (1) of the following units: HACM104 Media Literature Film: Text and Context and/or HAM105 The Media in Australia. - at least one (1) of the following capstone units: HALM320 Media/Literature Project A and/or HALM321 Media/Literature Project B.
- the remaining units are selected from the list of Media units.
- at least one (1) of the following units: HACM104 Media Literature Film: Text and Context and/or HAM105 The Media in Australia. - at least one (1) of the following capstone units: HALM320 Media/Literature Project A and/or HALM321 Media/Literature Project B.
- the remaining units are selected from the list of Media units.
Students may choose to complete an additional 50 credit points of study from the Media Major list of units. Students who successfully complete the requirements of the Bachelor of Arts program, including a total of 150 credit points from the Media Major, are eligible to apply to graduate with the associated tagged outcome e.g Bachelor of Arts (Media).
