Description
The statistics minor is designed to give students an opportunity to increase their research skills as a supplement to their major studies.
Career opportunities
Graduates with a statistics minor are expected to be highly sought after in research and industry positions where quantitative skills are essential. The statistics minor will also assist students obtain jobs in which employers are seeking excellent analtyical ability to supplement "hands-on" domain skills. Because of their good research skills these students will also be well equipped to embark on postgraduate research.
Structure
A minor is a sequence of study focused on a specific discipline while assuming no prior knowledge on the part of the student. This minor contains up to one approved elective choice and is made up of 4 units (50cps).
