Rosemary Simpson Scholarship for Rural & Regional Students
This scholarship has generously been established by the Jolimont Foundation to assist Swinburne University of Technology students from rural and regional areas to undertake and complete a university education.
The scholarship aims to:
- support students from rural and regional areas who, under normal circumstances, might be unable to undertake or complete a university education.
- enable young people to achieve their full potential, by reducing the need to work outside of study in order to finance their living and study costs.
Courses Eligible
Eligibility / Selection Criteria
To be eligible a student must:
• be an Australian citizen, an Australian permanent resident or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa
• be accepted into a full time undergraduate study at Swinburne University of Technology, with preference given to Year 12 school leavers
• have relocated from a rural and regional area in order to study at Swinburne
• demonstrate financial need and commitment to their studies
• demonstrate qualities of leadership and/or community participation
Value
The Scholarship is valued at $7,500 per year for the duration of the course up to a maximum of 5 years.
