About the scheme?
The Guaranteed Entry Scheme (GES) gives diploma and advanced diploma students guaranteed entry into an undergraduate degree course at Swinburne.
Your guaranteed entry to a place at university is subject only to satisfactory completion of your TAFE course.
You'll receive credit for your diploma or advanced diploma studies, fast-tracking you into later stages of an undergraduate degree.
How does it work?
Upon satisfactory completion of your diploma or advanced diploma, you will automatically be eligible for a place in a Swinburne degree course, with credit granted for your TAFE studies.
All students entering diploma or advanced diploma courses will receive information on the Guaranteed Entry Scheme during their first semester. Information will be provided:
- Via email
- In student bulletins
- At Pathways Briefing Sessions
- When you call 1300 ASK SWIN (1300 275 794)
What degree course can I enter?
All diploma and advanced diploma courses are covered by the Guaranteed Entry Scheme.
Depending on the TAFE program you complete, you can choose from a range of undergraduate degrees. For a full listing of available degree programs please refer to the Guaranteed Entry Scheme Guide.
When can I take up my guaranteed entry?
You can take up your guaranteed entry at the next available university intake after you complete your TAFE program, or you can choose to defer your offer to pursue other career or life goals. The choice is yours.
