January 2009Certificate III in Hospitality (Patisserie)
This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for students to become a qualified cook specialising in patisserie.
Students will gain practical training preparing them for employment in various hospitality outlets where patisserie products are prepared and served. Students can study this course full-time or as a formal training component of a cookery apprenticeship.

Diploma of Alcohol and Other Drugs Work
The Diploma of Alcohol and Other Drugs Work is aimed at workers who provide referral, counselling, advocacy and education/health promotion services to clients in relation to alcohol and other drug issues.
Students will learn the specialist skills, knowledge and competencies about laws affecting clients, services available to them and health issues related to drug and alcohol use and misuse.

Diploma of Graphic Design
This course replaces the Diploma of Art (Graphic Arts) and gives students the skills to create and execute design concepts.
Students will learn web design, production and how to use traditional media and computer technology to assemble ‘camera ready’ and digital artwork.
Students should apply through VTAC. After applying to VTAC applicants must contact the Department of Arts at Swinburne to receive more information with regard to a supplementary application form.
