Events to attend
We run many events throughout the year for Year 12 students, from big ones like Open Day in August tocourse advice sessions in December for Change of Preference.
We also attend expos and run workshops and 'taster' days all throughout the year.
Types of events
Find an event best suited to you:
Course information events
We often run events and workshops to profile our areas of study – and so you can get a 'taste' of university life and courses.
Keep an eye out for our Experience University Day, Art and Design Day (and many more!) which are run throughout the year.
School holiday programs
Many of our study areas run workshops and programs in the school holidays.
Most of the programs invite you on-campus for a full day (sometimes more) to take part in workshops, meet teaching staff, tour our facilities and explore the student spaces you could be studying in down the track.
Some programs are even linked to the VCE curriculum, helping you with your subjects and exam preparation.
Expos
We attend a range of expos throughout the year, including big ones like The Age VCE Expo and the Herald Sun Melbourne Career Expo in the first half of the year.
You'll most likely attend these expos with your school, but they're open over the weekend so you attend in your own time and start your research for options after Year 12.
VTAC application assistance
We run events to help you with your course preference list in the first round of VTAC applications, also known as Timely applications.
Register for a one-on-one appointment with a Swinburne course adviser throughout September to assist with your course choices and the application process. Your parents are also welcome to attend.
Change of Preference events
The Change of Preference period in December is your chance to review your VTAC application after you've received your VCE results.
We run course information sessions, one-on-one appointments and our major Change of Preference Expo so you can get all the information and advice you need.
One-on-one appointments
