Year 10 Students:

Vocational Introductory Program

A taste of TAFE for Year 10s

What is the Vocational Introductory Program?

Year 10 is a good time to start thinking about what you want to do after school. But how do you make an informed decision without really knowing what further study is all about?

That's the question that led Swinburne to create the Vocational Introductory Program (VIP). It gives Year 10 students the chance to experience TAFE study without leaving school.

As a participant, you'll spend one day of your school week studying in the vocational area of your choice over a term (or a TAFE semester).

Not only will you get an idea of whether it's a study option you'd like to pursue, you'll also begin to build skills and knowledge that you might not have been able to develop at school.

Please note that this form must be completed and submitted by your school.

You will need to take the application form to your school's career adviser, who will be able to provide course/careers counselling before you participate in the program.
