‘Even More Tales from the High Rise’ – a digital exhibition
Tales of friendships lost and found, of saying sorry and of life as an elder are among the seven stories featured in ‘Even More Tales from the High Rise’, a digital exhibition highlighting the rich and diverse experiences of people living in Melbourne’s public housing estates.
The exhibition follows five couples and two indigenous elders from public high-rise estates in the City of Port Phillip and Stonnington, whose stories are told in the form of three-minute videos combining the storyteller’s spoken words with photographs, sound, music and animation.
A collaboration between the Swinburne Design Centre, the Inner South Community Health Service and the high-rise dwellers, the project aims to enable older people living in public housing to share their stories with a wider audience.
