Arts at Swinburne provides a broad introduction to the study of human culture. Some of the areas you can choose to study are advertising, public relations, media and communications, journalism, digital media, sociology, writing and publishing, politics and public policy.
Communication
Communication at Swinburne provides you with the creative, practical and critical skills for today's dynamic communication markets, together with a connection to the design profession. Public relations, advertising, design and media units are combined to provide you with multiple pathways and opportunities to build the diverse skills needed by communication professionals.
Psychology
Psychology at Swinburne gives you a broad introduction to the science. It provides the opportunity to pursue more specialised study in developmental psychology, cognition, social psychology, personality, design and measurement, psychological measurement and abnormal psychology. These courses provide the first step to becoming a professional psychologist.
Social Sciences
As a social sciences student at Swinburne, you will learn how social relationships and institutions shape individuals. In turn, you’ll learn how individuals have the capacity to shape these social institutions.
