Course description

The Graduate Certificate of Marketing develops the technical, practical, analytical and creative skills necessary to support a successful career in marketing. It provides an entry level into tertiary study and the ability to obtain a tertiary qualification for appropriately qualified candidates.
(International students are required to study full-time and cannot take the part-time mode.)

Course structure

The Graduate Certificate of Marketing forms the first stage in a four-stage nested suite of programs consisting of:
To qualify for the award of Graduate Certificate of Marketing students must complete four core units (12.5 credit points each; 50 credit points).
Units normally carry 12.5 credit points, while double units carry 25 credit points. In each year, eight units or equivalent normally constitute a full-time load of 100 credit points and four units or equivalent normally constitute a part-time* load of 50 credit points. Each semester is of 12 weeks duration. Classes will generally be held outside working hours.
* Students holding an international student visa are required to study full-time.

Entry requirements

Entry requirements

Satisfactory completion of an approved undergraduate degree from a recognised tertiary institution, equivalent to a three-year Australian bachelor degree.

Special Non-Graduate Entry
A special entry provision is available for those applicants who do not have an approved undergraduate degree, but have at least a minimum of five years approved work experience.

Credit transfer

Applicants with prior tertiary studies that satisfy part of the academic requirements of this course may be granted ‘credit’ and/or entry into the course with ‘advanced standing’. University policies apply and applicants are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
