M054NJQ Associate Degree of Aviation - Jetstar Stream students accept that if they cannot access CAE Oxford Aviation Academy's Services for any reason (outlined in CAE Oxford Aviation's Training Services Agreement) they will be in-eligible to graduate or get an award for the M054NJQ program from Swinburne University of Technology.
The Associate Degree of Aviation - Jetstar Stream has been developed to provide a tertiary award in conjunction with a structured training program for students who are undertaking a cadet pilot training program. The program meets the requirements of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority for provision of Commercial Pilot Licence (aeroplane) theory and practical training and examination for the same, as well as Air Transport Pilot Licence theory. Practical training and examination for Multi Engine Command Instrument Rating is also included.
On completion of the associate degree, graduates will be offered an articulated pathway into the Bachelor of Aviation or Bachelor of Aviation/Bachelor of Commerce.
Graduates would also have met the competency requirements to be eligible for the vocational award of Certificate IV in Aviation (Commercial aeroplane Licence) and Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Flight Operations). Upon completion of the associate degree program graduates would undertake a jet type rating before commencing line pilot operations with an airline.
Note: this course is only available to applicants who are accepted into a pilot cadet training program with an organisation holding an internationally recognised Air Operators Certificate (AOC) of transport category aeroplanes.

Course structure
Volume of Learning at the completion of the Associate Degree of Aviation AQF level 6:
The Associate Degree of Aviation is a two-year program, 200 credit points.
The delivery of the program is accelerated through utilisation of both Summer and Winter Terms in addition to the two semesters. This acceleration enables the program to be completed (without any breaks) in 18 months.
Program Structure and Rules:
Students must complete 16 units (200 credit points) from five discipline groups, comprising:
- 6 x Aviation Core units (75 credit points)
- 5 x Aviation Practical core units (62.5 credit points)
- 2 x Aviation Human Factors core units (25 credit points)
- 1 x Air Transportation Management core unit (12.5 credit points)
- 1 x Aviation Technology core unit (12.5 credit points)
- 1 x elective drawn from Aviation Human Factors and Air Transportation Management electives (12.5 credit points)

Entry requirements
In addition to the Jetstar selection criteria, entry requirements into the Associate Degree of Aviation include:
Applicants must have satisfactorily completed the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or its equivalent.
VCE Prerequisites: Units 3 and 4 - a study score of at least 20 in English (any) and Further Mathematics.
Passes maybe accumulated over more than one year.
